We had a wonderful surprise this week. Our neighbor, Charlene, called Keith to say there was something out in the pasture with our mini donkeys. He and I had left for work, so we rushed home to find this beautiful dark baby standing next to mama Leora. We had given up on Leora, even though she had swelled up just like last year when we found no baby. This time Leora was fending off all the other curious donkeys and Lucy the horse and taking very good care of her new little girl. Keith herded them to the barn where we have been marvelling the last 4 days over the miracle of the new addition to our little herd.
